Software Developer
Location: Dublin - hybrid
Salary: €48K
Are you ready to join a forward-thinking team in the insurance and financial services industry? Our client, a leading player in this sector, is looking for a Software Developer to drive the development and enhancement of critical business systems.
About the role:
This role will involve everything from building new systems and features to implementing best practices and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain systems that evolve with the business needs
- Lead the implementation of upgrades and new system features
- Consult with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet program objectives
- Generate standard and ad-hoc reports for management
- Ensure the application of best practices in software engineering, security, and change management
And Your Background:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in Visual Studio (VB.Net or C#) and SQL Server
- Experience with reporting solutions (e.g., SSRS, Report Viewer) and web services
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and Microsoft desktop products
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and source control (TFS, GIT) is desirable
- Previous experience in financial services is an advantage
