Senior Software Engineer 
12-Month Contract
Location: Dublin 
Daily rate: €550 - 590 DOE

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join a key government team on a 12-month contract, starting in January 2025. Working within the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), this role supports essential systems and services used across the Civil Service. The position will contribute directly to the Estimates Management System (EMS), a critical platform for public expenditure management, budgetary functions, and new climate budgeting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance web applications on .NET C# / MVC and MS SQL Server
• Perform SQL Server tuning and optimization
• Utilize HTML, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript frameworks (including Angular and JQuery) for front-end development
• Implement source control and CI/CD practices, using GIT, TeamCity, or Octopus Deploy
• Manage web caching, scaling, and ensure protection against vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and data analytics tools
• Experience in Windows/IIS administration

Tech Stack:

• MS SQL Server, C#, MVC, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, Azure, GIT, and Visual Studio
