Full Stack Software Engineer
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Location: Hybrid - Galway City Centre
Daily rate: €400 - €450 DOE
Are you a skilled Full Stack Developer with a passion for backend development and creating scalable, reliable solutions? Join our dynamic team to work on innovative projects that shape user experiences for internal and external platforms, with a focus on Java, Spring, and Kafka.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement backend services using Java, Spring, and Kafka, with a 70/30 focus on backend vs. frontend.
- Create responsive, interactive user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS or jQuery.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
- Adhere to coding standards, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high-quality software.
- Collaborate with QA and Scrum teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
About You
- 6+ years of software development experience, with expertise in Java and middle-tier systems.
- Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
- Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS or other MVC libraries.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with an Agile mindset.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to coding standards.
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Content Management Systems, and large technical organizations.
- Experience in e-commerce platforms, web accessibility, or branded websites.
- Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for scalable software.
For this position, you need to be based in Ireland and hold EU/UK passport or Stamp 4.
