Commercial Manager / Lead Quantity Surveyor

Our large Construction client is hiring their first Commercial Manager to help lead their Italian business. 

About or client: Our client is a leading specialist in the design and construction of complex and high-tech facilities across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and logistics. With a commitment to delivering innovative solutions, they have a strong presence in the European market.

Role Overview: The Commercial Manager will oversee all commercial aspects of projects in Italy, ensuring financial performance aligns with company objectives. This role involves managing contracts, budgets, and client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Italian regulations and company policies.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the construction sector with a Main Contractor. 
• Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial practices in Italy.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with high-tech facility projects.
• Familiarity with Italian construction regulations and standards.
• Professional certification in commercial management or related fields.
