Data Engineer | 12-Month Contract | Dublin (3 Days/Week Onsite) | €550–575/day
We're hiring a Data Engineer for an exciting 12-month contract based in Dublin, working with a leading global technology company behind secure digital payments. You'll join a fast-growing data & analytics team focused on building intelligent, scalable products used across the financial ecosystem.
This Data Engineer role is ideal for someone who thrives on designing high-performance data pipelines, working with big data technologies, and enabling predictive, API-based analytics at scale.
Design and develop robust data pipelines and scalable processing workflows using Python, PySpark, Hadoop, and Databricks SQL.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to deliver real-time insights and next-gen analytics products.
Build and maintain big data platforms that support predictive models and forecasting-as-a-service solutions.
Contribute to a greenfield analytic foundation project, integrating multiple data sources into a central API-based ecosystem.
Participate in design reviews, write clean, testable code, and mentor junior engineers as needed.
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in a production-grade, agile environment.
Strong hands-on skills with Python, PySpark, Hadoop platforms, Databricks SQL, and big data tooling.
Proven ability to build, scale, and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines and API services.
Experience working with machine learning pipelines, real-time data integration, or data products in fintech is a plus.
Passion for data-driven solutions, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
