Electrical Design Engineer

We're looking for a Electrical Design Engineer to join one of our clients in Waterford (Ireland). This company specializes in engineering design, focusing on developing and manufacturing custom machinery for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Their main expertise lies in creating innovative, tailor-made equipment to meet the specific needs of these sectors.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers.
• Oversee the design and specification of all electrical components in a project.
• Create high-quality electrical drawings using E Plan, following Tegan standards.
• Ensure precise and high-quality wiring for panels and machines.
• Power up machines to verify proper functionality.
• Troubleshoot and debug electrical aspects of the machine.
• Install purchased components, such as lasers, into machines.
• Ensure compliance with safety wiring standards.
• Perform site installations as needed based on customer requirements.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Provide field service support when necessary.
• Conduct training sessions.
• Stay updated on emerging design methods and technologies.
• Opportunity to develop and program automation control systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Solid understanding of computer systems and machine assembly.
• Experience in electrical design using E Plan or similar software.
• Strong electrical background.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Positive and proactive team player.
• Knowledge of machine programming, PLC, and HMI is a plus

Conditions

• Salary: €50,000 – €60,000
