Job Description: Senior Data Engineer (Role No. 3a)

Role Title: Senior Data Engineer (Must have 7 years plus experience) 
Location: Dublin
Contract Start Date: Jan 6th 2025
Contract Duration: 2 Years
Attendance:

• Onsite: Wednesday-Thursday
• Offsite: Monday, Tuesday, Friday (subject to change)

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain database systems and ETL pipelines (using ADF, SSIS, etc.).
• Write and optimize SQL objects (stored procedures, tables, views).
• Create and maintain BI reports in PowerBI, SSRS, and Excel.
• Develop data models, star schemas, and master/reference data solutions.
• Manage code repositories and version control with DevOps tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with business SMEs and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Honours Degree/Postgraduate Diploma (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in a numerate discipline.
• Skills:
  • Strong SQL and T-SQL skills.
  • Experience with ETL tools (ADF, SSIS), and programming languages (Python, C#).
  • Knowledge of Azure services (Data Lake, Functions, Logic Apps).
  • Experience with data management, profiling, and cleansing practices.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (PowerBI, SSRS).
  • Proficient in DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
  • Fluent in English.
